In a thrilling state derby, the B juniors from Grün-Weiß Schwerin won against HSV Grimmen with a clear 35:24 on October 26, 2025. In front of over 200 enthusiastic spectators, the players, under the direction of coach André Regge, showed an impressive performance that already ensured clear conditions in the first half.
How Northern Courier Reportedly, Schwerin was never behind and was able to take a 14-4 lead in the 27th minute. The offensive style of play of both teams led to a high number of goals, but coach Regge was critical of the number of goals conceded: “24 are too many.” Defensive errors were particularly noticeable in the second half, when Schwerin only allowed four goals in the first 20 minutes, but conceded 20 more in the rest of the game.

The context of the B-Youth Bundesliga
The Schwerin girls' performance takes place against the backdrop of the premiere season of the B-Youth Bundesliga, which is slowly coming to an end. This season, 48 teams will play against each other in eight groups, and the best teams will qualify for the championship round.
